Our Story

Teshuva Capital has its origins in a family business, the KMC Group, which was started in 1973 by the founder’s father, Moshe Rabenou, in Rotterdam. He sold and repaired typewriters and, later, information technology to local and central government bodies and large corporates. He held one of the Netherland’s first official dealerships of IBM and HP. Adept at seeing developing trends, his company eventually became the preferred supplier of ergonomically designed furniture in the Netherlands.

His son Avriel, and founding partner of Teshuva Capital, established his first business in 2000, KMC Group Belgium, providing ICT solutions including networking installations, advanced digital surveillance and wireless networking infrastructure to corporate and municipal organizations. His customers included the Port of Antwerp, major offices in Antwerp’s diamond district and the municipalities of Antwerp, Bruges and Knokke. He sold his company in 2009.

In that year he partnered with the Vincent Hotel Group and a few years later in the Borealis Hotel Group, both in the Netherlands. Before selling out in 2015 and 2019 respectively, Mr. Rabenou was responsible for financing the construction of over 2,600 hotel rooms in the Netherlands and developed the IT infrastructure for many of the hotels.
